It’s finally here! The first long weekend of the year where you can go out with your family and friends and actually enjoy the nice spring weather, instead of the brutal cold we seemed to have had for an eternity.
You may be asking, “What can I do this weekend?”. Well, as you may know, the annual Tulip Festival is happening throughout Ottawa and this is a perfect opportunity to go out with your family and take some beautiful pictures and get a nice tan! However, something even cooler is happening this long weekend. We think you should take yourself out to the ball game and buy yourself some peanuts and crackerjacks! That’s right, The Ottawa Champions are kicking off the 25 year anniversary of baseball in Ottawa this weekend, and are inviting everyone to join in on the fun! Below is a list of all the activities regarding the Champs over the weekend!
Friday: Home/Season opener vs Trois-Rivières Aigle @7:05 PM. Come early for this one as Mayor Jim Watson will be throwing the first pitch! And for those new baseball fans, there will be a hype video highlighting baseball’s history in Ottawa and introducing the team. And for the adults… $5 beer night!
Saturday: vs Trois-Rivières Aigle @7:05 PM. Saturday will be a very fun day as Black Cherry will be performing by the main gates, there will be face painters all around the park, and to cap the night off a Victoria Day long weekend Fireworks Show
Sunday: vs Trois-Rivières Aigle @1:30 PM. Sunday will be another fun day as it will be Family Day! This means that there will be a rock climbing wall, jump houses, face painters, and the kids can run the bases after the game.
Monday: vs New Jersey Jackals @1:30 PM. Monday will cap off the long weekend with Super Hero day! Parents and Kids should come to RCGT Park in their best superhero costumes and cheer the team on! *NO THANOS ALLOWED*.
So if you are looking for something to do this long weekend, pick a game or two or all of them, and head over to RCGT Park to cheer on your Ottawa Champions to victory while enjoying all the fun things to do at the Park. We will be there and so should you! Go Champs Go!

Is there a place we can read game recaps and boxscores? Also, do they have other media coverage of the team during the season other than the live game coverage.
Regards for all your efforts that you have put in this. very interesting information.
