With Christmas right around the corner that means one thing for the hockey world, it’s World Junior time! The most wonderful time of the year is upon us again. With the Sens season in a free fall, this is just the thing Sens fans need; a glimpse into the future. The Senators aren’t as well represented this year as they were last year with blue chip prospects Thomas Chabot, Colin White, and Filip Chlapik playing major roles for their countries. However, the Sens do still have multiple players representing them and their countries this year. The Sens prospects representing them this year are as follows:

Canada:
Batherson (121st overall, 2017)
Formeton (47th overall, 2017)

Finland
Markus Nurmi (163rd overall, 2016)

United States
Logan Brown (11th overall, 2016)

Drake Batherson and Alex Formenton are both expected to provide some solid depth scoring for Team Canada this year. It is expected to be more of an offense by committee team this year and players like Batherson and Formenton will be crucial to this. Markus Nurmi will be playing a similar role with Team Finland, he’ll be expected to be a complimentary piece to what appears to be a stacked Finland team. Logan Brown will most likely have the biggest role out of the 4 this holiday season. Brown will most likely be a top line player for Team U.S.A. and will be crucial to their offense, if they wish to maintain their title of champions this year. It is looking like another exciting holiday season for Sens fans! Fingers crossed for another great World Junior Tournament.
